Range Rover Repair in Jumeirah

Jumeirah has some of the longest-standing Range Rover ownership in Dubai, which means we see more genuinely mature cars here than anywhere else — L322s and early L405s that have been in the same family for a decade. They are excellent vehicles. They also have a specific set of age-and-humidity problems that are entirely fixable if you catch them.

Water, where it should not be

A humid coastal belt plus an ageing car equals moisture finding its way inside. This is the single most under-diagnosed category of fault we deal with, because the symptoms almost never look like water.

Blocked sunroof drains

Every panoramic roof has drain tubes running down the pillars to exits near the wheel arches. Dust and pollen block them, water backs up, and it exits into the headlining or down the A-pillar into the footwell. Owners report a damp smell, a wet carpet after washing the car, or electrical faults that come and go with the weather. Clearing the drains is a modest job. Replacing a soaked control module is not.

Water reaching modules under the seats and in the boot

Several control modules on these cars live low down. Once carpet underlay is wet it stays wet for weeks in humidity, and corrosion creeps into connectors. Intermittent electrical faults on an older Range Rover are worth investigating as a water problem before they are treated as an electronics problem.

Door and tailgate seals hardening

Rubber seals lose elasticity with age and heat. Wind noise at speed is the polite early warning; water ingress is the later one. Replacing a seal is far cheaper than drying an interior.

Mature-car maintenance done honestly

On a car of this age the important conversation is not what could be replaced — it is what should be, and in what order. We give you a prioritised list: what needs doing now for safety or to prevent a larger failure, what needs doing within six months, and what is simply worth watching.

Air suspension is usually top of that list. On an older car the struts, the compressor and the valve block all age together, and replacing one item on a tired system often just moves the failure along. We will tell you when it is more sensible to address it as a set.

We are independent, so there is no incentive for us to inflate the list. If a repair genuinely is not worth doing on a car of that value, you will be told that plainly.

Collection from Jumeirah

We collect from Jumeirah 1, 2 and 3 and the surrounding villa streets, free of charge, and the work is carried out at our Al Quoz workshop — a short run inland.

Genuine and OEM parts, fixed pricing agreed before we start, and a full itemised record of everything fitted.

Up to 70% less than the dealer — and considerably more expert

Up to 70% less than the main dealer — and around 30% less than other independent specialists. For the same genuine and OEM components, fitted by technicians who work on nothing else. Every job is quoted as a fixed price before we start, and we never begin work you have not approved. If we open something up and find more than expected, you get a photograph and a phone call first, not a larger invoice at the end.

But price is the smaller half of the argument, and we would rather you chose us for the other half. We are Range Rover and Land Rover specialists and we work on nothing else. A general workshop sees one of these cars occasionally. We see them all day, which is why we recognise a fault from the description before the car arrives, why we know which components fail early in this climate, and why we can tell you when a repair is not worth doing.

What that expertise actually buys you

  • Faults diagnosed properly rather than parts replaced one at a time until the warning light stops.
  • Manufacturer-level diagnostic access, so we read the whole vehicle network instead of a single code.
  • Genuine and OEM parts as standard — the same components the dealer fits, from the same manufacturers.
  • Independent advice, because we have no parts quota and nothing to gain from selling you work you do not need.

Cheaper and better are not usually available together. On these cars, from an independent specialist, they are.

Questions we get from Jumeirah owners

My carpet is damp and I cannot find a leak. Where do you start?

Sunroof drains, almost always. We flush and test them, then check door membranes and the seals before looking at anything more exotic. It is a systematic job and it is far cheaper than replacing the electronics the water eventually reaches.

Is an older Range Rover still worth maintaining?

Often yes — these cars respond well to consistent care, and the major mechanical components are durable. What kills them is deferred maintenance compounding. We will give you the honest arithmetic on your specific car rather than a generic answer.

The air suspension has failed. Can I convert it to springs?

It is possible, and some owners choose it. It changes the ride and can affect resale, and it is not always cheaper once the electronics are addressed. Worth a proper conversation before you commit either way.

Can you work on cars the dealer no longer supports?

Yes. Older L322 and early L405 work is routine for us, and parts availability for these models remains good through OEM supply.
