Three-zone and rear climate systems have their own blend actuators, ducting and blower. On family cars these run constantly, and blend door actuators are one of the most common failures on Discovery models. The symptom is one zone stuck hot or cold, sometimes with a faint clicking from behind the trim. It is a well-known fault and a straightforward fix once correctly located.
Tailgate and boot mechanisms
Powered tailgates on family cars cycle many times a day. Struts weaken, sensors misread, and the tailgate starts stopping halfway or refusing to latch. Usually mechanical or a sensor rather than a module.
Third-row seat folding mechanisms
Powered third rows are used and abused. Motors, cables and position sensors all fail eventually, and a seat that will not fold flat is a genuine daily annoyance rather than a cosmetic one.
Loaded suspension
